SAILS & ALES PARKING NOTICE

Please do not park in the travel lane next to the boat shed between the dry sail area and the boat hoist.  Several members launch their boats to sail in the Friday night OARS series.  These members must have access to their boat trailers and the hoist to return their boats to the dry sail parking area.  Thank you for your consideration.

TIDE DELIVERED IN COLOR!

The TIDE was delivered in color to all members that supplied their email addresses to Vicky. If you want yours in color, contact Vicky with your email address.

SHIELDS FLEET NEWS:

The Shields Fleet is looking for host families to house visiting sailors that will be competing in the 2008 Shields Nationals, to be held at TAYC in October. If you can help, contact Pete Bailey.

PHRF FLEET NEWS:

Annapolis to Oxford Race Scheduled for Saturday

With the number of entries declining each year, and after consultation with many racers, the TAYC board has decided to schedule the Annapolis to Oxford Race on Saturday of Oxford Regatta weekend with a noon start. Consequently the Robson Race will be on Sunday. It is our hope that allowing skippers and crew to compete without taking Friday off work, and changing the event from a three day event for the out of town boats that stay for the Robson Race to a two day event will bolster participation from the non TAYC boats. The details are still being ironed out. As with the previous two year’s time changes this is another experiment and comments and ideas to help make this work are encouraged.
