The Tred Avon Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program has always been an active and vibrant aspect of TAYC. While maintaining emphasis on sportsmanship, safety, and the joys of sailing, the junior program mission is to teach all levels of the sport to revive the skills and knowledge once taught in successful programs that focused on a quality youth sailing experience. Please review the program scope and sequence and course offerings for more details. The program is open to juniors, ages 6 and up, and membership at TAYC is not required. Need-based scholarships are available and inquiries are strongly encouraged.

• Summer Sailing will be here soon! There are some remaining spots left. More details on the registration page.
• Sails N Ales Fundraiser for Jr. Sailing - All junior sailing families and friends are invited to join the sails n ales fun at the club on May 3rd at 5:30 pm.  Your drink and meal purchases at the bar will benefit TAYC Jr. Sailing! 
• CBYRA Junior Awards Ceremony - The 2012 High Point awards came a little late this year and was hosted at the Eastport Democratic Club (March 9th). Commodore Boughner joined me to celebrate the many accomplishments of our juniors this past summer. It was wonderful to hear "Tred Avon Yacht Club" named so often during the ceremony! Read more.
